Elementary Science Methods 2: Week #8
Elementary Science Methods 2: Week #8
What did you do in the lab today?
- In this week's lab, we presented our presentations on all kinds of different topics. These topics included the Origins of the Universe, Lifecycles of Stars and Galaxies, Origins of the Earth, Black Holes, and Exploration of Space: Past, Present, and Future. During these presentations, we took notes on these ideas to expand our knowledge.
- The big question was: If it is the Winter solstice in Iowa, how much sunlight is on the South Pole?
- In Thursday's discussion, we continued our discussion of each of the topics we presented in the lab on Monday. We discussed the article on misconceptions and how you should address them as a science educator. We studied Origins of the Universe, Lifecycles of Stars and Galaxies, Origins of the Earth, Black Holes, and Exploration of Space: Past, Present, and Future in-depth to understand the meaning of each one.
- What did you learn?
- I learned more in-depth about the Big Bang Theory and the scientific evidence that supports it. With Life Cycle of a Star, I gained knowledge in universal element formation.
- What was most helpful?
- I found the visuals throughout the module with the stars and the Big Bang theory helpful to better retain my knowledge.
- What do you need more information on?
- Nothing!
- No questions at this time.
